We here at CrazyMook are always looking for ways to keep reviewing the things that you all want to read. In doing so, we want to ensure that we are not over-covering certain things. That’s why we are now introducing Pizza Friday’s! Once a week, on Friday, Jeff (The Pizza Guy) will give his pizza review of the week. We will also be introducing other day-specific reviews in the near future.

This week, Jeff (The Pizza Guy) will be reviewing a highly touted frozen pizza favorite – Home Run Inn. This is a meat lovers pizza that has Bacon, Pepperoni, and Italian Sausage.

The pizza cooked pretty evenly and thoroughly and it looked and smelled like it was going to be a solid pie. That’s where the good things I can say about this pie end. The crust is way too flakey – almost like a croissant. It just started falling apart as I ate it. The toppings made the pizza way too greasy which ruined the cheese. With everything going on with the rest of the pie, I couldn’t even get a taste for the sauce. Simply put – I hated this pizza. Even the token crushed red pepper couldn’t salvage this from being barely edible. It is probably the worst frozen pizza I’ve had in a long time. I am very disappointed.

Score – 3/10

Side Note – being the pizza guy, I had to buy myself a Pizzeria style rocker cutter. I’m still remembering how to use these things, but it’s so much better and easier to use than a roller pizza cutter. There is a learning curve, but if you haven’t used one of these before, I recommend trying it out. I got mine on Amazon for less than $15.
