An appropriate beer for this week, it’s 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 brewed by Rahr & Sons Brewing Co., out of Fort Worth, Texas.
A tequila barrel aged session ale, with lemon and lime. This beer is not sold in the Chicagoland area, but I was able to purchase it through the Tavour beer app.
Coming in at 6.5%, this session ale is a very clear lager with a small light white head. The aroma is of lemon and lime. Maybe a hint of tequila, but that could be my senses being tricked because of the beer name.
Drinking the beer, it is really light with almost no tequila flavor at all. According to the brewery website, the beer was aged for 6 months in tequila barrels, but I don’t taste it. I would’ve liked a little more bite to the beer, but that being said I’m not disappointed by it. The flavor is mostly a light beer with lemon-lime flavor. Very easy drinking.
Drink this beer in the shower, drink it outside after working in the yard, drink it all the time. I’m going to say it’s a decent beer, but don’t expect to be amazed. I had someone that tried it with me describe it as a 6.5% Bud Light lime. If I saw this beer out at the store I may buy a can, or 2, or 10, because honestly I feel like I could crush these beers all day. They are so light and easy drinking. Would I search this beer out though….probably not. Its a decent beer, but it doesn’t stand out in a large beer market unfortunately.
