Yep! We’ve added yet another member to the team. Keith will now be handling our beer reviews, which will typically hit on Thursdays. So lets get right to it!
This week we’re reviewing Orange Chantilly by Phase Three Brewing Company out of Lake Zurich, IL. This particular beer come in 4 pack, 16 ounce cans, with an alcohol content of 7.2%. $16.99 is your cost of entry from the brewery. There is no canning date on the cans, but hopefully in the future they will add that to their beers.
At first look, you definitely know that it’s a milkshake IPA – opaque orange with a little white head. The aroma is amazing!! You can strongly smell the vanilla and a candied orange scent…very appealing. The taste is wonderful too, if you enjoy orange creamsicle ice cream bars. After the creamsicle flavor, the taste changes to slight hop bitterness at the end, towards the back of the tongue. A full mouth feel and also strongly carbonated makes it very pleasant to drink, but drink it slowly.
Overall this is a great beer. It gets a 4.26 average rating on Untappd, and I would follow that up with a 4 rating of my own. I would definitely buy this if you find it out where you beer shop. Cheers!
